I was listening to the Storm 1st album and it got me wondering if that sound is more like what Neal has been wanting for many years. AOR for sure, but a harder edge than anything Journey has consistently done.
I thought for a few minutes that maybe this sound is what Journey would have evolved into if Rolie had stayed, but I don't think that they would have lasted. Perry seemed too intent on the Street Talk, ROR sound to have moved in this direction.
A good album and I wish they could have done more.

Both albums are excellent. I think the second is better. Shame nothing came of it. Journey should have moved on with Kevin for sure.

Kevin's still out there, milking his one night of Journey fame for probably more than it is worth. But at least he is still going. I wonder how he would have held up over the past 25 years had they stuck with him.

I was looking online for an original cd of both Storm albums. Some guy in England has them for sale, about $75 USD each. I think the albums are good, but maybe not that good.
