It is distributed by Eagle Vision, which is pretty legit. I bought it and it should be here in a couple days. I've just bought a new Sony TV, Blu Ray player, which is multi region and a surround system. All my gear should be here in a week.
So has anyone else bought this release and if so, how did it compare in quality to the regular DVD, which I already have? I figured I could burn $15 or so to find out.

Can't imagine it's that different from the previously released version. Let us know!

I remember at the time the band saying that the video was going to be the highest quality available. Not sure what more BluRay offers as I have never had a player. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts.
Do you have a lot of BluRay discs? My kids laugh at me for buying DVDs when I "could just stream it". I like having the physical media, same with CDs over downloads, though I will download a single from a band if I don't want the whole crap album.

Blu Ray offers pretty amazing sound quality, if its 5.1 surround.... I have Tom Petty's Damn the Torpedos on BluRay (5.1 audio) and it's like being in the middle of the actual recording session.
The link is for a European import... looking on the back it says "LPCM Stereo, DTS-HD Audio"... so its likely not 5.1 audio...

Allegedly part of the deal with Frontiers was not only to release Freedom - but also the Lollapalooza show and the Journey Through Time shows on DVD.
In addition, there should be a Vegas symphony DVD coming out soon.
But at this point, really, who cares?

Journey Captured and GH Live is all we need.
