I was in Guitar Center the other day and Journey GH was on "sale" for $45. Seemed steep to me, so I checked other places online:
So, Guitar Center is way high, WM and Target are the low - with free delivery most likely. $30 still seems high to me, especially when I can get the CD for $11.
My local radio station does a "Vinyl Thursday" promotion where they say everything they play is on vinyl. They say that the music on vinyl "sounds like it was meant to sound". I don't notice any difference. I can see where it might sound better on your home vinyl record player vs. cd/mp3, but over the air - especially when radios/transmitters are digital?
I don't know enough about the technology to understand it all, and my ears are not what they used to be, so the difference probably wouldn't matter to me. Anybody out there buying vinyl copies of your old catalog?
