Not only is the state of the industry in disarray because of covid, the only member active on Journey's FB is Neal. With the exception of the at-home Unicef DSB video, Jon hasn't mentioned the new lineup AT ALL. There was no official press release about Narada or Randy - it was just Neal making an informal announcement on social media. Neal has been providing updates on the new album - but we don't hear from Arnel or Cain or anybody. The entire thing just feels 'off.'

I know that some think otherwise, but I think it is being held up by the lawsuit. If Neal and Jon don't win, they look like fools if they have to remove the new guys. The website has always been crap, but they still haven't announced the change there yet, though Ross and Smith have been removed.

I assume it will launch when the new single hits. But who knows. Both Arnel and Cain are active on social media - they just rarely post about Journey. It's extremely odd.

Arnel has several videos on Youtube. He could leave Journey and is set for life, especially if he stays in Manila. They all should be, actually, if they invested even some of their money wisely. Arnel seems like Filipino royalty and is a huge source of pride for the country.

Without touring, the industry is pretty dead, especially for legacy acts. It just gives people a lot of time on their hands, to either self destruct, reevaluate where they want to go in life, and perhaps drop away altogether. I'm sure nobody is happy about the choke this pandemic has on everyone. I thought for a minute that maybe Journey would rather time the new album to when they could tour again, but then I thought it wouldn't matter. All they do is play the DD anyway.

Pre-Covid.. there was lots of talk from musicians that playing live was really the only way to make money... so now that we're in the middle of it... the only acts that likely still have any revenue at all are acts with catalogs that still sell and/or get them lots of streaming hits...
