Excerpt from SA Facebook post -
At the depths of the worst of the pandemic here in NYC, my first thought was to “Save the World”. That was the first song of many and may have been the fastest I’ve ever conjured up as far as I can remember. It was the start of a writing streak I’ve been on along with band mates Craig Pullman and Adam Holland. I don’t believe I’ve ever collaborated with more ease and purpose than with these gentlemen. And I’ve sat down with the best of the best, them being Neal Schon and Jonathan Cain. On a side note, I’m thinking of resurrecting a song or two from those writing sessions with my former Journey bandmates which I hope to get their blessing and perhaps even a cameo if fate allows it:-)
Also, a strange phenomenon occurred. It appears one can actually write in their sleep. I found myself waking up with parts of, and even nearly complete songs that had literally came to me in my dreams. Remarkable. Some material that you might likely expect and some that might surprise you. I’m especially stoked about the latter but proud of it all.
Anyway, as you might have noticed, I’m extremely excited to say the least about an albums worth of new music from myself and my camp, The Steve Augeri Band.

Augeri's voice brought the band back from the dead, but he has always appreciated the fact that he was chosen to continue the legacy. Too many people, perhaps most in that business, would have let that fact go to their head. Not Steve. He's been a class guy all the way. So many others can learn from his example.
