35 years later, it just hit me that the first notes of Foolish Heart are the same as the melody of Neal's closing solo on Who's Cryin Now. I have listened to both of these songs hundreds of times over the years and never noticed until this evening. I haven't listened to FH in several years nor WCN in several months but the melody just came into my head and I put the two together. Anyone else ever notice this?
I have noticed similar chord progressions in Separate Ways, Message of Love, and Place in Your Heart. Not similar to WCN or FH, just similar to each other. Anyone hear any others?

The best solos are the ones that sound like singing...
Perry's Sam Cooke waterfall vocal style lent itself really well to guitar solo-ing... I'm sure he sand lines that Neal remembered and copped.
