Leonid and Friends released a new cover of the Steely Dan song “My Old School” yesterday. As usual they nail it. Enjoy.
JULY TOUR DATES and a special request.
Hello Friends!
We regret to inform you that we will be unable to enter the US in time for our July tour. We will be rescheduling as many of these shows as possible into our Fall tour. And we want to shed some light on the situation, so there is no confusion or misinformation:
Four weeks ago, we were granted US work permits by USCIS that will allow us to perform in the US. The next step is to receive the exit visas based on that in the local US Consulate. Unfortunately, the US Consulate in Russia is not currently processing any exit visas to the US, so we are stuck in a peculiar situation where we are allowed to work in the US but cannot get into the country. This is the case with hundreds of international artists who are trying to tour the US in 2021.
We are even trying to fly into neighboring countries in hopes that they can process our exit visas to the US. We are also enlisting the help of multiple US Congressmen to put pressure on the Consulate to process our visas in a timely manner. We are diligently working towards bringing you an exciting fall tour.
To assist us with any potential visa delays, please send us a private email if you have any personal government contacts, friends in Congress, or anyone else that may be of benefit to ensure our exit visas. Our address is rvorobyev@mail.com.
We may also draft and make available a specific letter that you can send to your representatives personally. Stay tuned for more info. Our team is making a concerted effort to get this visa dilemma rectified. The #1 priority is to perform for all of you. We are excited to see all of your smiling faces as soon as possible.
