So, to pull it all together from what I can tell at this point: 1. Arnel is probably losing/lost the range needed to sing this catalogue well. 2. John is still out there, but doesn't understand why the last single wasn't a hit. 3. Randy Jackson hasn't been seen on tour at all. Two different bass players have filled in for him so far and there's no idea when/if he will ever show. 4. Narada has been hit and miss, more miss than hit. Deens back consistently, but not as a "member" of the band (?). 5. A new guy is mostly hidden in the back playing a casio keyboard or cueing backing tracks. 6. Neal continues to believe that the best is yet to come and we will all be in awe of the performances that we spend money to go see. Oh, and SP continues to think about touring "all the time". What am I missing or do I have wrong? A few corrections.... Narada is done. He recently said that him and Randy are honorary spiritual brothers on the album - but that's it. Neal says Randy may show at some point. But I doubt it. The use of hired hands like Marco and Todd seem to lend credence to Ross's legal argument that he was ousted for $$$ reasons. The "new guy" is Jason and is a full fledged member (allegedly). Like Travis, his predecessor, he also sings lead. However, Travis was mostly kept in the dark and didn't even get to take bows with the rest of the guys. They have embraced Jason in a more public way. It seems apparent that Neal should not have announced Narada and Randy as being in the band.

Only a fill in until they could see that Deen is really clean? Neal should not have announced a lot of things over the years. Social media has not been helpful to him or "his" band.

Social media has not been helpful to him or "his" band. I remember one time (over on BackTalk - years ago), Neal told off a Perryhead. Said to her, "sounds like you need a drink - better make it a stiff one." Man, it was funny. Other than that, the band rarely interacted online. Presently, it's out of control. The Journey social media feeds (FB, IG, etc.) should really just be used for official band stuff. As for Narada....who knows. Maybe the brief Northeast run fulfilled his contract? Or maybe he realized the road life just wasn't for him. When he was announced, online fans were pushing for Deen to come back. Neal said something to the effect of "we love Deen, but he's busy and we want to go in a new direction." Then they end up adding Deen anyway. Total mess.
