IS Schon crazy like a fox... sabotaging everything "Journey" to get what he really wants... JTT? No. Crazy? Apparently. Smart enough to put together a successful plan for anything? No. If JTT is what he wants to do, then just leave Journey and do it. No one is going to miss him. Jon and Arnel can continue or not. I doubt that too many people will miss them, either.

I wonder how long until the new year manager asks for a huge raise to put up with this. Sheesh. A Twitter account which sounds like Neal's wife and basically attacks AP and JC 24/7 indicated that the new manager already quit. Claimed it was over the drama coming from Arnel and Jon, which is soo ridiculous.

Cain countersuit is out and its a doozy. Not sure how Neal gets out of this one. All the flashy chrome hearts apparel and bling jewelry NS wears? Yea, paid using the Journey card. odyportal.cc-courts.org/Portal/ ... =False&p=0 "In or about 1998, an American Express platinum corporate credit card in the name of Nomota was issued (“AMEX Account”). Cain is the personal guarantor on the AMEX Account. It is tied to Cain’s Social Security number and Cain is personally liable for all expenses on the AMEX Account.""Schon first obtained a platinum card in his name on the AMEX Account in or about May 2021 (“Schon’s AMEX Card”). Prior to that time, Schon never expressed an interest for an individual card on the AMEX Account. It was about this time or in the summer of 2021, Cain was informed by Journey’s business manager that Schon had serious financial problems as a result of an extravagant lifestyle and could not keep up with his expenses"
"For the one-month billing period ending March 16, 2022, Schon charge more than $400,000 of his personal expenses on the AMEX Card. The charges included $42,000 to various PayPal accounts, over $104,000 to Chrome Hearts (jewelry and apparel), more than $31,000 to the Bergdorf Goodman department store in New York City, and over $54,000 for his personal insurance premiums.
Schon’s charges placed considerable pressure on Journey and its ability to cover normal tour expenses. Schon was spending Journey’s money, and Cain is the one who was and is ultimately liable for the AMEX Account and Schon’s charges on the AMEX Card.
In order to protect the band’s ability to cover expenses, Cain requested that American Express limit the charges on Schon’s AMEX Card to $30,000 per month. This spending limit infuriated Schon.
Even with the $30,000 limit on Schon’s card on the Nomota AMEX account, Schon still managed to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars in additional, excessive personal expenses through other tour personnel and travel agents. For example, the budget allocated a maximum of $1,500 per night for hotel rooms for Schon and Cain. However, Schon demanded to stay in hotel suites that cost in excess of $5,000 per night. After the recent tour ended in Honolulu, Hawaii, Schon stayed an extra week in a hotel suite that cost $6,000 a night, and charged more than $100,000 in expenses to the AMEX Account."

What an idiot. Either his attorney didn't tell him to expect it or Neal didn't care. I suppose that it is better than him spending it all on drugs. I could be wrong, but it appears that all of this spending is on top of whatever he is paid for his cut of touring revenue. He sold his rights to the songs, so that money might have already been spent as well. How old are his kids? Any child support or alimony he has left to pay? Neal's going to end up filing bankruptcy and have to live in a one bedroom apartment and drive a 1991 Geo Metro if he keeps this up.

Cain is the personal guarantor of the account? Now this makes absolute sense.
No wonder Rolie and Perry avoid this fool.

Neal Schon Backtracks on Journey Tour With Gregg Rolie The feud between Neal Schon and Jonathan Cain has taken another turn as Schon responds to reports that original keyboardist Gregg Rolie won't return for Journey’s 50th-anniversary tour. The road trip begins on Jan. 27 with Schon and Cain engaged in several legal battles against each other. Schon previously confirmed Rolie’s return, while Cain insisted that he’d remain with the group despite their issues. Reports that Rolie won't be taking part were based on a subsequent comment by Schon himself, who’d been asked if the former member “won’t be on tour now” and replied, “Not at this moment. Both Gregg and I intend to shed some real light on the subject matter very soon.” When that quote was shared by multiple news outlets, Schon wrote, “This is going out to all media of all your postings today that Gregg Rolie is out. False – where would you get this information? Ex-managers? PR stunt again.” He separately appeared to blame Cain for the story, saying, “I don’t belong to the dictatorship of JC.” He also tweeted, “Please stop with these fake blogs and statements. … This is BS – Neal Schon Confirms Gregg Rolie Won’t Be Joining Journey 'At This Moment.'” When a fan suggested that “so many people” were “trying to sabotage Journey,” Schon said some “desperately don’t want a great 50th.” Schon said he and Rolie will “have a chance to talk” about the situation “very soon” and that they’d be appearing together in interviews. “Obviously this means more to me than anyone else right now,” he said of the Journey's milestone. “50 years of playing every show and record[ing] every album and [co-writing] many great songs … honor it!” Read More: Neal Schon Backtracks on Journey Tour With Gregg Rolie | ultimateclassicrock.com/neal-schon-gregg-rolie-journey-tour/?utm_source=tsmclip&utm_medium=referral

This should have been settled months ago. Neal should never have said anything about former members joining the tour or anything else until contracts were complete and signed. Can you imagine Rolie sitting upstairs in the hotel wondering if he is going on stage or not? Neal owes his career to Gregg getting him started in Santana. Except for the fans and money, I can't imagine why Gregg would put himself through this. Perhaps, though, if Neal has been spending like JC says in his court papers, there is no money to pay Gregg. That would be the icing on this.

In that case, Cain could just revoke Neal's privileges, so this is a bit muddy. Is Neal a joint account holder, meaning ths was a new Joint AMEX account opened for Nomota? If it is a joint business account, neither Neal or Jon has governance over the other, except a responsibility to make sure the account remains in good standing. Cain can no more regulate Schon's spending any more than Schon would be able to regulate Cain's. Seems both parties would have to close the account and that would be that. Just thinking of the scenarios....

Just thinking of the scenarios.... I suppose that Jon, as president of the corporation, could have been how he was the account holder. Tons of companies have corporate AMEX programs, but everyone I have ever had held me liable individually for the card bill payment. I had to submit expense accounts with legitimate expenses to the company, get them signed off by my boss and finance department, then they sent me a check to pay off the bill. Any illegitimate expenses would not only have not been reimbursed by the company, but resulted in my card being canceled. Afer that, any normally authorized company expenses would have to be paid out of my pocket up front (to be reimbursed by the company after submitting expense reports and approval). With the amount of travel and $ involved with a band like Journey, I can't imagine very many people willing to front the money out of pocket for company expenses. Having a corporate card makes sense, but only if people follow the rules.

It's normal practice for CC companies to require personal guarantees for small businesses, which Nomota is...
I think Jon simply managed the Journey Amex account like anyone would their personal credit cards, reviewing the statements before paying them, etc albeit through the Journey Business Manager.... and when he was told how Schon was blowing up the statements he put the kibosh on it... like anyone who personally guarantees anything would.
That Neal would not understand this only further illustrates just how much of a bubble he's been living in.

This is what happens when you marry a reality TV personality / Blonde Yoko Ono. She has probably put Neal's brain on ice while she peels off his finances like an onion. Her needs will always have to be met and she has some big needs from what I can see. When the well is dry, she's most likely gone, swinging on to the next money branch. This is painful to watch. I can't think of any other reason that Neal has completely lost his shit, except for her being in his life. The other factor, of course, is that Neal is a guitar player, not a manager, as he has tried to be.
I wonder, when the Journey gig is all done, if they will start a reality TV show to make $$$? I can see her pulling him into that. Remember Gene Simmons and his soft porn wife?

Perhaps, though, if Neal has been spending like JC says in his court papers, there is no money to pay Gregg. That would be the icing on this. Neal on social media says adding Gregg would cost $0, as they have lined up a sponsor. I don't think it's about costs at this point. Cain/Arnel really have no reason to respect or comply with any of Neal's wishes at this point. He's suing and attacking Cain and his wife every day on Twitter. Why would they - or anyone - agree to bring back his buddy, Gregg? He can go fuck himself.
